Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about healing and counselling sessions with Dani Divine Love. If you're new to this work or simply curious about how sessions unfold, these questions will help you understand what to expect, and how healing and counselling can support your journey.

Do I need to have a specific problem to come to a healing or counselling session?

Not at all. Some clients come with a specific challenge they would like support with, while others simply feel ready for personal growth, clarity, an objective and supportive space to be heard, or emotional support. Sessions are designed to meet you where you are and support whatever you are currently navigating in your life.

What happens during a healing session?

Each session begins with a conversation about what is currently happening in your life and what you would like support with. Some people say they have felt drawn to come to me but have no idea why - and that is completely okay. I will gently guide the session and help uncover what may be most supportive for you. From there I may incorporate counselling techniques, Reiki energy healing, meditation, or other therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. Sessions are designed to create a safe and supportive space where you can gain clarity, release emotional blocks, and reconnect with a sense of balance and inner strength.

How is your work different from traditional counselling?

Traditional counselling often focuses primarily on conversation and cognitive insight. While this can be very valuable, my approach integrates both therapeutic dialogue and additional modalities that support emotional, somatic, and energetic awareness.

In sessions with me, we may combine counselling techniques with approaches such as nervous system regulation, Reiki energy healing, or hypnotherapy depending on what is most supportive for you.

This integrative approach allows us to work not only with thoughts and behaviours, but also with deeper emotional patterns and stress responses held within the body and nervous system. Many clients find this combination helps them experience both practical insight and deeper emotional shifts, as we work towards uncovering the root cause of the issues, which supports deeper understanding and creates lasting, meaningful change.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. I offer both couples sessions and individual support for each partner, depending on what will be most helpful for the relationship.

In many cases, meaningful change within a relationship begins with greater self-awareness and personal healing. For this reason, couples may sometimes begin with individual sessions to explore their own emotional patterns, communication styles, and underlying triggers.

Alongside this, we can also work together in couples sessions, where we focus on improving communication, rebuilding understanding, and developing healthier ways of relating to one another.

This combined approach allows both partners to gain insight into their own experiences while also working together to strengthen the relationship in a supportive and constructive way.

What is Reiki and how does it work?

Reiki is a gentle energy healing technique that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance. During a Reiki session, energy is channelled through the practitioner’s hands to help clear energetic blockages and promote relaxation and emotional wellbeing. Many people report experiencing a deep sense of calm, grounding, and clarity during and after a session.

Do I need to believe in energy healing for it to work?

No belief system is required. Many people approach healing sessions with curiosity rather than certainty. The focus of each session is simply to support nervous system regulation, relaxation, emotional processing, and inner balance.

What issues can healing or counselling help with?

Clients commonly seek support for:

• emotional healing and trauma recovery
• anxiety, stress, or overwhelm
• life transitions and personal growth

• reconnecting with clarity and direction

• relationship challenges

• grief and loss

Sessions are tailored to your unique situation and personal goals.

What makes your approach unique?

My work is guided by an integrative philosophy that combines professional therapeutic training with holistic healing modalities.

With a background in counselling, NLP and Time Line Therapy®, hypnotherapy, Reiki, meditation, and yoga-based nervous system awareness, I draw from a wide range of tools that allow sessions to be tailored to each individual client.

Rather than applying a single method, I listen carefully to what you are experiencing and integrate the approaches that will best support your situation in that moment.

Clients often describe sessions as feeling both grounded and deeply supportive, offering space for honest conversation, emotional release, and meaningful insight.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. Many clients notice meaningful shifts even after their first session, particularly in terms of clarity, emotional release, or feeling more grounded.

At the same time, deeper and more lasting change often happens through consistent support over time. When sessions are spaced regularly, it allows us to gently work with the nervous system, integrate insights, and support lasting emotional and behavioural shifts rather than just temporary relief.

Some clients come for a single session during a challenging time, while others choose to work together over a longer period as part of their personal growth and healing journey.

The frequency of sessions is always guided by your needs, your pace, and what feels right for you.

Do you offer both in-person and distant sessions?

Yes. Sessions are available in person from my healing space in Galston in the Hills District of Sydney, as well as online for clients across Australia and internationally.

Where are you located?

My practice is located in Galston in the Hills District of Sydney. The space is a calm and private environment designed to support relaxation, reflection, and healing.

How should I prepare for my first session?

There is no special preparation required. Simply arrive with an open mind and a willingness to explore what is present in your life. Comfortable clothing and allowing yourself a little quiet time before or after the session can also be helpful.

What should I expect to feel after a session?

Many people leave a session feeling calmer, clearer, or more grounded. Because the work can involve processing emotions and releasing stress that has been held in the body or mind, some people may also notice emotions continuing to shift or integrate in the hours or days afterwards.

This is a natural part of the healing process as the nervous system adjusts and new insights begin to settle. For most people, this leads to a greater sense of clarity, emotional balance, and understanding over time.

Everyone’s experience is unique, and sessions are always guided at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.

Is everything discussed in a session confidential?

Yes. Sessions are conducted with respect, professionalism, and confidentiality. Creating a safe and supportive environment where you can speak openly is a central part of the work.
